She started her professional career as a video editor at CBS Sports in New York City. She earned an award for a local Sports Emmy during her tenure at WTVJ-TV which is located in Miami. She was also employed by WPLG-TV in Miami as well as WPEC-TV which is located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Her role was chosen as anchor on ESPN2 at the time that the channel first came on air.
